How To Prepare For Your
Boudoir Portrait Session

Before Your Session

• Exfoliate your body & face, including your lips a day or two before your appointment & apply moisturizer.

• You want your fingers & toes to look pretty, they will be in the pictures.  It’s not necessary to get a manicure & pedicure, but you do want to make sure you don't have old chipping polish.  A clear polish will only add to your photos.

• Eyebrows frame your face.  Getting a brow wax or cleaning them up will only make your pictures look better.

• Shave/Wax. If you are waxing it is best to do it at least 24 hours before your appointment so any redness will go away.

• Spray Tans are fabulous in the winter months! They are not necessary but if you are thinking about it, do it at least 2 days before your appointment.  This will give it a chance to fade a bit and look more natural.  If you have never spray tanned before, you may want to do a trial run before your session.   *Please no temporary self tanner that washes off immediately.  These products tend to rub off & make a mess. 

• Cut tags from any see through lingerie.

• High Heels are a must have accessory.  Black pumps are perfect, but any kind of sexy heel or boots work fine.

• If it's a gift for that special someone, bring that gift, any jewelry, special item, team jersey, those are always fun props and they'll love it !! White dress shirts with a tie is also a very sexy look... if you are thinking of ideas.

• Pack your bag ahead of time. That way you won't be rushing & forget anything.

Day of Session

• Arrive with clean and moisturized skin. If you do have makeup on we have makeup remover and moisturizer at the studio.

• Exfoliate your lips & apply a lip balm.

• Hydrate your skin with body lotion.

• Clean hair that has been blow dryed is okay, but it is best to not straighten it before your appointment. 

• Wear loose clothing the day of your session. Tight clothing will leave marks on your body, and we want your skin to be as smooth and flawless as possible. 

• Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water the day of and in the days before your session. Your skin will look healthy and makeup will go on easier.

• Eat a light snack, but not a heavy meal, because I know as a woman, we're all crazy about our stomachs (even if they are perfect).  If you don't feel sexy, it will absolutely show in the pictures.  You'll want to eat something that will provide you with enough energy to keep you posing like a Super Model throughout your whole session.

• We suggest planning something fun after your session because you are going to feel & look great!
